Meal & Raffle
The group meal is to be held at The Mountain View Restaurant, Blackheath on Sunday 24th February at 3:00PM. The cost will be £12 per adult and £10 for under 14 years. Drinks will not be included in the price. The restaurant seats 150 people so numbers are limited. When we held this event in 2006 the seats were booked up very quickly - hopefully the same will happen this time round!
A raffle will be held alongside the meal. The prizes so far are: - An official World Cup 2006 final football with a tiffany paper weight in a presentation box - Two tickets for the London Eye - Fortnum & Mason hamper - £100 voucher for Halfords - A child's push bicycle - a meal for two at The Hill Restaurant - Bollinger Champaign
Training Weekend
We have confirmed that a compulsory training weekend for everyone going to Nepal for the 2008 expeditions will be held on Saturday 16th February through to Sunday 17th February 2008. It will be held at the County Headquarters - The Fort, Dulwich.
Quiz Night
On the Saturday 24th November 2007 our second fund raiser took place at The Good Shepard Church, Handen Road. In total over 120 people attended the event. Matt would like to thank the quiz night committee for their hard work leading up to and during the event. We would also like to pass on his thanks to our MC on the night - David. The quiz night raised over £600.
Race Night
On Saturday 10th March 2007 our first fund raiser took place - The Race Night. This event was very well attended. Although no exact figure is known we estimated that there were about 180 people in attendance.
Our next fund raiser will be held on Saturday 14th July 2007 - Watch this space for further details.
